Vintage-style illustration of four anthropomorphic characters marching in procession, including a flag bearer, a bear wearing a red coat, a dark animal-like figure carrying a banner, and a goat wearing a blue dress.

Tucked behind a seemingly ordinary door in West Seattle, we quietly turn Washington’s best grapes into something special. Despite the name, we work small and precise for people who care about handmade quality. Some call it a passion project; we call it a “problem” that got deliciously out of hand.
Either way, welcome. Take a moment, pour a glass, and enjoy the experience.

Chris MacDonald

WINEMAKER/FOUNDER

How does someone with a strong aversion to fruit end up making wine?

“It all started with a trip to Sonoma about 20 years ago. I was still pretty new to wine, but I fell in love with the vineyards, the tasting rooms, and the culture surrounding it. When I got home, I planted a few rows of Pinot Noir to see if I could recreate a little of that magic. I’ve been chasing the dragon ever since.”

For Chris, fruit has never been the main attraction.

“Fruit is just one part of wine. What really fascinates me is texture. I’m always searching for the perfect balance of weight, structure, and mouthfeel—or pushing those boundaries just to see what’s possible.”

Equal parts craftsman and low-key perfectionist, Chris isn’t chasing medals or critic scores. He’s simply trying to make wines that hit all the right notes and leave people reaching for another glass.
